Mobile internet, social media, not to mention virtual promotion of tourist destinations were amongst the issues addressed after lunch. The presenters, coming from various contexts such as the tourism industry, the high-tech sector, tourist destinations and even research institutes made clear the need not only to invest in ICTs but also to follow closely their ceaseless development and to get the necessary training so as to be able to make use of them.
The event was also the occasion for the launch of the new internet site www.etourism-monitor.ch which seeks to become the leading platform for Swiss electronic tourism (by proposing results of studies, statistical data, and articles on what’s new in this area of activity).
The 13th TpM is set for December 7th, 2012 in Sierre – block that date!
